About me

Hello!

My name is Niloufar (she/her), which represents a water lily or a blue lotus. Most people named Niloufar are nicknamed Nilou (nee-loo). I’m based in Vancouver, BC. I completed my Bachelor of Science at SFU, a school on top of the mountains, where I studied in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary design program.

I’ve been empowering teams with design thinking to build user-centred products for more than seven years. I learn from users and turn my insights into products people and businesses love using.

My curiosity about technology and innovation and my passion for problem-solving brought me to the field of Experience Design. I have evangelized user-centric design in various teams and organizations throughout my career. I love solving complex problems and tackling them from a holistic lens. I believe delightful designs are defined by the sum of experiences users have with a product or service, so I pay a lot of attention to the holistic, end-to-end experiences in my designs.

Why Do I Think Design Matters?
